Robotic Welding Engineer

Lewisburg, Tennessee – Movement Search and Delivery   is working with an international supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Weld Engineer south of Nashville.

What you will do:  The Weld Engineer develops welding techniques, procedures, and applications of welding equipment to address problems involving fabrication with metals, while also developing weld schedule programming and continuous improvement at the plant level. The role is responsible for weld fixture improvements, training of repair welders, supporting new product launches, and approving/rejecting weld quality, while also developing robotic programming techniques and welding parameters. The position tracks production-related welding assembly issues, including meetings and data gathering, designs/fabricates fixtures and tools to aid in manufacturability, supports production and quality managers in maintaining current mass production, and develops relationships with welding equipment suppliers.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering Technology with a focus on Manufacturing Engineering.  Current experience in an automotive manufacturing welding. Expert in welding & metal forming techniques and processes.  Experience with MIG/TIG/Resistance  OR robotics…not laser welding.
