Resident Engineer – GM

Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com   is working with a world-class manufacturer of instruments for vehicles, agricultural, and construction equipment. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Resident Engineer – GM.

What you will do: The Resident Engineer manages assigned engineering programs serving as the main liaison between customer release engineers and internal engineering program managers. The role works with GM and company design engineers to investigate package responsible projects, tracks status of assigned programs via customer database, supports information for completion of APQP (CPQSS, covisint, supply power), and coordinates/conducts open issue meetings for customers. The position relays all program timing requirements, develops/maintains positive customer relationships, and manages/reviews program CAD models for packaging and graphics specifications. Additionally, the Resident Engineer – GM performs software reflashes when software changes are released, supports simulator/bench and vehicle testing of product as required, and writes or coordinates writing of customer required test plans.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in engineering. Automotive industry work experience in application engineering, program management or designing interior automotive electronics. An understanding of DFMEA, Design and Validate Document (DVP&R). Ability to reflash software using GMLAN & CANoe tools. CAD experience. Knowledge of electrical circuits.
