Regulatory Compliance Specialist

Farmington Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery    www.movementsearch.com/jobs    is working with a growing OEM.  Due to recent growth within the company, they have recently opened a position for a Regulatory Compliance Specialist – OEM.

What you will do: The Regulatory Compliance Specialist – Tier One supports vehicle regulations and communicates with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and California Air Resources Board (CARB) regarding certification and collection of rulemaking information for all brand products. The role reports/summarizes results and rulemaking activities, attends meetings hosted by Engine Manufacturers Association (EMA) and provides the company with information regarding activities, regulations and policy of Engine Manufacturers Association (EMA), EPA and CARB. The position coordinates with EPA, CARB, OBD consultant to convey company direction and promote EPA and CARB certification, assists the engineers in communications and/or negotiations with the EPA and/or CARB, and attends/supports plant audits and compliance tests. Additionally, the Regulatory Compliance Specialist – Tier One collects information of regulation and submits reports to EPA and CARB regarding defects and/or recalls.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in related engineering field. Engine engineering experience in automotive industry and experience in OBD and/or Exhaust emission regulatory affairs. Existing knowledge of related regulations and standards. Experience in conducting pre-regulatory research activities. Experience in working with regulatory agencies and industry colleges. Ability to travel internationally and domestic up to 20%.
