R&D Engineer - Electronic

Auburn Hills, Michigan  – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs    is working with a global, electronics company to identity an R&D Engineer for a newly created role.

What you will do: The R&D Engineer is responsible for new product design and development of sensors and controls products. This position develops from product concept through production, conducts custom mechanical design (modeling) and drawings using 3D CAD software, and performs complex and novel work assignments pertaining to product and process development, production qualifications of new products. The role leads global multidisciplinary development teams for concurrent engineering processes, conceives, plans, develops, and coordinates projects as an individual contributor or as a member of a cross-functional team, and creates/develops engineering project documentation, e.g., bill of materials, drawings, and specifications. Additionally, the R&D Engineer supports/implements product release plans as assigned, directs/develops prototypes and test plans, and participates in or conducts design reviews and provides feedback.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering. Experience with R&D electronics. Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment using Six Sigma, 3D CAD, SPC, DOE and other engineering tools. Experience with Pro/E software is desired.
