Radio Frequency Engineer - Multimedia Systems

Plymouth, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a national supplier to the automotive manufacturing industry and due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for an RF Engineer – Multimedia Systems.

What you will do: The RF Engineer – Multimedia Systems provides technical support to customers in the area of audio/AM/FM/SXM DSP baseband processing and HD radio integration, supports engineering data/documents delivery between customer and HQ, and supports identification and resolution of quality issues on products between customer and HQ. The role supports customer development stage events, plays an interactive role as a Liaison Engineer between Customer and HQ, reviews/supports all product designs according to established company processes from quotation through product launch, and leads root cause analysis and drive proper corrective actions for technical issues. The position maintains industry standards while balancing the need for cost effectiveness and high quality, drives continuous improvement of product design for reduced cost, increased performance, and high quality, and prioritizes/guides group activities to design new products, modify existing products, and optimize designs for assembly.

What you will need: B.S. in Electrical/ElectronicEngineering. Experience in electrical/electronic product hardware design or working in the automotive industry. Working knowledge of electronic hardware engineering concepts and principles. Knowledge of CAN communications and architectures. Good understanding of display and microprocessor based electronics and electronic circuits. Comfortable working with low level interfaces (GPIO, UART, I2C, SPI). Experience creating and implementing test sequences to validate electronic control modules. Experience working with Vector CANoe/CANalyzer and ICS VehicleSPY. Includes creating measurement/simulation setups, implementing for OEMs. Knowledge of DFSS, FMEA, Design for Manufacturability preferred. Process knowledge in display and PCB board assembly. System level Electric/Electronic hardware engineering experience in Major OEMs. International joint work experience.
