Blue Island, Illinois – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, the company has a newly created position for a Quality Systems Engineer.
What you will do: The Quality Systems Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing and managing the quality program. The role defines methods and equipment to be used to measure key quality characteristics of processes, trains the production staff in updated work instructions and procedures, and manages quality requirements on projects/programs. The position reviews/defines program flow-down requirements to suppliers, performs corrective action and continuous improvement efforts/projects, and assists with internal audits and vendor audits. Additionally, the Quality Systems Engineer supports product design teams for product quality, identifies improvements in productivity, and reports quality metrics.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Quality control experience including project management and safety. Experience in implementation and use of lean and six sigma manufacturing principles. Quality audit experience as well as implementation. Automotive industry experience (ISO TS 16949, ISO 9000, QS 17025, Core tools, etc.).
