Quality Systems Engineer

Warren, Michigan  – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a leading supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Quality Systems Engineer.

What you will do: The Quality Systems Engineer ensures implementation and compliance of plant quality systems to the required quality and environmental standards including customer specific standards and corporate tools for error prevention, continuous improvement and problem-solving at all stages of product life, while also being responsible for quality and environmental system audit activities including preparation for and involvement in external audit. The role implements quality and environmental systems, coordinates on-going maintenance and continuous improvement projects, and ensures compliance of quality and environmental systems to all required standards including customer specific requirements. The position plans, coordinates and performs internal/external process and system audits, provides consultation upon request for quality and environmental system gap-analysis, benchmarking, and/or customer complaints, and trains plant personnel on quality and environmental systems. Additionally, the Quality Systems Engineer monitors internal, customer and supplier complaints, develops/performs monthly quality metrics, and monitors the approved yearly budget for plant representatives.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience in quality systems engineering within the automotive industry. Knowledge of quality and environmental Systems including ISO/TS16949, ISO 14001 and Ford/FCA customer specific requirements. Auditing experience and certification. Knowledge of AIAG standards (PPAP, MSA, FMEA, LPA, APQP). Knowledge of OSHA.
