Birmingham, Alabama – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with an international supplier to the automotive industry. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Quality Manager, southwest of Birmingham.
What you will do: The Quality Manager ensures the quality system is established, implemented, and maintained in accordance with TS 16949 requirements, reports on the performance of the Quality System to upper management for review, and is responsible for the administration of the document control system. The role schedules and chairs the management review meetings, keeping agenda, meeting minutes, assignments and status of review of corrective actions and supervises internal audits, ensuring the proper function of the internal audit system and supervises the lead auditor. The position acts as a liaison with external parties on matters relating to the quality system, is responsible for all relationships with registrars and for scheduling all external audits and pre-audits, and ensures that the products with the compulsory certification mark are produced in conformity with the standards according to which they have been certified. Additionally, the Quality Manager develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications, directs workers engaged in inspection and testing activities, and plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to product quality and reliability.
What you will need: Degree in Engineering. Knowledge of automotive industries systems and standards. Full understanding of TS16949. Current experience in the automotive industry. Experience in quality management.
