Shelby Charter Township, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a national leading tier one supplier to the automotive industry. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Quality Engineer.
What you will do: The Quality Manager manages, maintains and improves ISO Quality System, prepares for and manages all Quality Audits, and improves/updates Quality procedures, work instructions and documents. The role audits sub-supplier quality, supports manufacturing quality initiatives (tool calibration, workmanship, training, inspection), and manages internal/external acceptance documents for all products and systems. The position monitors internal acceptance/buy off for all projects, leads lessons learned activities on projects, and ensures knowledge is retained and accessible. Additionally, the Quality Manager interacts with customer quality activities and auditors and assists project teams to respond to customer quality concerns (5 whys, 8Ds, etc.).
What you will need: Bachelor’s in Engineering or Quality. Six Sigma Green or Black Belt. Strong in both ISO 9001 and AS 9100. Familiar with Process Mapping and DMAIC methodology. Current experience in quality management. Experience with automation and tooling.
