Quality Manager

Camden, South Carolina – Movement Search and Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs    is working with an international supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Quality Manager.

What you will do: The Quality Manager leads/directs the quality organization of a tier-1 automotive system supplier and challenge the entire organization to achieve world-class results. The position provides internal manufacturing control, quality system leadership, and product testing, builds/leads a quality organization to enable the business to reach World Class performance metrics, and leads problem-solving approach across organization and identification of appropriate quality toolset (Six Sigma, Shanin, 8D, etc). The role achieves continuous improvement in product and business quality through ownership of the business unit quality system, manages all key customer relationships to ensure “voice of the customer” is within organization, and promotes/provides role model principles of a process-intensive and data-driven approach to improvement and problem solving using quality toolsets. Additionally, the Quality Manager leads the implementation and effective use of quality planning (APQP) within the Product Development Process.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience in quality management within automotive manufacturing. Experience leading quality and continuous improvement activities. Solid understanding and practical implementation approach to Quality Systems such as TS 16949 & QS 9000, ISO 9001:2000.
