Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a global Tier 1 automotive supplier whose products are in 25% of of all vehicles on the road. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Quality Engineer.
What you will do: The Quality Engineer is responsible for customer interfacing on quality issues, sample submissions for new product or engineering changes, and supplier interfacing on quality issues. The position leads problem solving activities for internal and external concerns, maintains advanced quality planning (APQP) documentation, control plans, PFMEAs inspection and gauge instructions, and coordinates activities of quality technicians/auditors. The role develops, implements and maintains data collection and metric systems to ensure effectiveness, initiates actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance relating to product, process and quality systems, and identifies/records any problems.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer Certification. Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment. Experience in supplier & customer related quality engineering role. Experience in APQP on new products in automotive industry. AIAG quality training (PPAP, MSA, Control Planning, FMEA, SPC). Demonstrated competency in metrology, blueprint reading, statistical techniques and color/appearance measurement. Ability to travel 20-30%.
