Orlando, Florida – Movement Search and Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a 100 year old power generation company. Our client is stable, growing and R&D focused. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Quality Engineer.
What you will do: The Quality Engineer utilizes quality assurance principles to maintain high capacity utilization and optimize manufacturing and service operations ensuring product and service meets customer requirements. The role performs root cause analysis and, leads corrective and preventive action initiatives, collects/analyzes production process data and interpreting trends, to eliminate unnecessary processes and to minimize process variation, and supports new product development thorough planning, scheduling, and regular team meetings. The position finalizes product inspection procedures, ensures proper use of tool and gauging and that calibration requirements are met, and establishes/supports quality related training programs and techniques. Additionally, the Quality Engineer reviews customer and supplier inspection and test plans to assure proper witness/hold points are injected into the plans, generates reports of findings and recommendations, and ensures ISO compliance by maintaining/creating processes and documentation.
What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with experience in a mechanical component manufacturing environment. Current experience in quality assurance. Metallography Lab equipment and metallography process experience is a plus specifically as they relate to thermal barrier coatings, EDM, and weld/braze specimens for acceptance.
