Orlando, Florida – Movement Search and Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a leading Tier-One supplier. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Quality Engineer – Industrial Materials.
What you will do: The Quality Engineer – Industrial Materials utilizes QA/QC (quality assurance/control) principles to maintain high capacity utilization and optimize manufacturing and service operations ensuring product and service meets customer requirements. The position performs root cause analysis, leads corrective and preventive action initiatives, supports new product development, and collects/analyzes production process data, interpreting trends to eliminate unnecessary processes and to minimize process variation. The role finalizes product inspection procedures and perform inspections when necessary, ensures proper use of tool and gauging and that calibration requirements are met, and establishes/supports quality related training programs and techniques, while reviewing customer and supplier inspection and test plans. Additionally, the Quality Engineer – Industrial Materials provides direction to assigned inspection personnel, generates reports of findings and recommendations, ensures ISO compliance by maintaining/creating processes and documentation, and participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in engineering with current experience in a mechanical component manufacturing environment. Experience with industrial materials. Metallography Lab equipment and metallography processes experience is a plus specifically as they relate to thermal barrier coatings, EDM, and weld/braze specimens for acceptance.
