Quality Engineer-Automotive

Houston, Texas – Movement Search & Delivery    www.movementsearch.com/jobs    is working with a 100 year old world leader with a growing automotive division.  Due to their continued growth and increase in market share, they have a newly created position for a Quality Engineer.

What you will do: The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing and managing a quality program. The role defines methods and equipment to be used to measure key quality characteristics of processes, trains the production staff in updated work instructions and procedures, and manages quality requirements on projects/programs. The position reviews/defines program flow-down requirements to suppliers, performs corrective action and continuous improvement efforts/projects, and assists with internal audits and vendor audits. Additionally, the Quality Engineer supports product design teams for product quality, identifies improvements in productivity, and reports quality metrics.

What you need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Quality control experience including project management and safety. Experience in implementation and use of lean and six sigma manufacturing principles. Automotive industry experience (ISO TS 16949, Core tools, etc.).
