Quality Engineer - Automotive

Middletown, OH – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a supplier of automotive components. Due to recent growth, they are searching for a Quality Engineer just north of Cincinnati.

What you will do: The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and improving core processes to ensure processes meet requirements and translating applicable industry standards or customer specific requirements into the organizational structure and processes. The role is responsible for developing an understanding of core processes that supports specified requirements, including gap identification and helps facilitate continual improvement across all functional areas and for customer support, regulatory audits, and customer visits. The position manages new part introduction through feasibility, APQP and PPAP, which also includes revision to mature product and completes and submits PPAP – Process Flow, Control Plans, FMEA, Gage R&R, Capability Studies, Layout, etc. for new and existing product. Additionally, the Quality Engineer ensures compliance to ISO/TS/IATF management system requirements and keeps abreast of changes and travels to customer locations for the purpose of assisting in quality concerns and resolutions.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current Quality Engineer experience in a manufacturing environment. Current experience with PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, ISO/TS 16949, 8D, 5Y, and Fishbone. Strong mechanical aptitude.
