Quality Engineer

Worcester, Massachusetts- Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs    is working with a three-billion dollar per year, global manufacturing company.  Due to their growth, the company has a newly created position for a Plastics Quality Engineer.

What you will do: The Plastics Quality Engineer establishes, maintains, implements, and communicates a customer quality strategy compliant with customer requirements. The role maintains and communicates customer requirements and expectations, acting as the primary voice of customer advocate between all global customer sites/functions, while also promoting quality awareness and behavior. The position initiates/implements improvement programs to ensure the customer requirements and expectations are communicated and understood at all locations, represents the company as champion and coordinates multiple site/region inputs to customer, and develops networks with appropriate customer contacts. Additionally, the Customer Quality Engineer schedule/leads customer scorecard/issue reviews, assist sites in negotiating/reducing customer costs, and ensures adequate planning and performance of customer management processes.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with current experience within the automotive industry. Solid understanding of PPAP and APQP launch. Injection molding experience. Green Belt certification. Solid knowledge of DMAIC methodologies and APQP process. Willingness to travel (25%) to facilitate re-work activities at customer facilities. Experience with OEM systems.
