Chicago, Illinois – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a national supplier of automotive components. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Senior Accountant east of Chicago.
What you will do: The Senior Accountant maintains account reconciliations, performs account analysis, and documents journal entries monthly. The position assists with the preparation of consolidated internal and external financial statements, provides analysis for annual budget and standards cost revision, and streamlines accounting processes such as inventory and analysis of cost variances. The role assists in the preparation of financial/benefits audits and annual corporate tax returns, while also recommending improvements to accounting policies and procedures. Additionally, the Senior Accountant researches/interprets accounting data.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. CPA or CPA Exam candidate preferred but not required. Current experience in accountancy in a manufacturing environment. Experience using IBM AS400 or I Series (CMS/SolarSoft ERP System). Public accounting or cost accounting experience is a plus.
