Quality Engineer

Rock Hill, South Carolina – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with an international manufacturer of industrial products to highlight a Quality Engineer to fill their newly opened role.

What you will do: The Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting the Lead Production Engineer in driving quality activities within the production facility. The role analyzes quality trends through data mining and analysis, facilitates quality-planning (APQP) and development of work instructions for customer-specific requirements, and conducts monthly Quality Council Meetings to help find and resolve quality issues through root cause analysis and problem-solving processes (PSP). The position conducts quality audits as prescribed by the local quality registration (ISO or Customer Requirements), participates in the analysis and disposition of non-conforming product as required, and interfaces with customers to resolve quality issues. Additionally, the Quality Engineer maintains the ISO 9001:2008 and/or TS16949 Management Systems, if required, to ensure compliance with global, national and local requirements, provides training and support to employees on all quality concerns, customer complaints and application of quality methodologies, and creates operational work instructions for production.

What you will need: Bachelors degree in Quality or Engineering. Professional certification in quality disciplines (ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferred). Experience in a quality role within a manufacturing and/or production environment. Experience implementing and executing ISO 9001:2000/ TS 16949 standards. Experience with APQP/PPAP disciplines.
