Somerset, Kentucky – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a leading manufacturer of tier-two automotive components. Due to recent growth, they have opened a position for a Quality Engineer, west of Somerset.
What you will do: The Quality Engineer receives and inspects materials and products for conformance, provides support to customers and suppliers, and completes PPAP and Control Plans initiatives. The role verifies specified dimensions of product or material, rejects defective parts, and marks type of defect. The position interprets engineering drawings, using geometric dimensioning and tolerancing diagrams, confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards, and selects products for tests at specified stages in the production process. Additionally, the Quality Engineer tests products for a variety of standards, performs mechanical and analytical testing, and operate diagnostic equipment.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering highly preferred. Current quality engineering experience, preferably in automotive manufacturing. Knowledge of PPAP, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
