Rock Hill, South Carolina – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a multi-national manufacturing conglomerate with a workforce numbering over 16,000 people world-wide. Their location in the Rock Hill area has over 300 employees over a multi-shift environment. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Quality Engineer.
What you will do: The Quality Engineer for this facility is truly a “newly created” role for this location. The role will report to a quality manager and will be responsible for all aspects of quality engineering for the manufacturing process. They are looking for someone that can interact seamlessly with the entirety of manufacturing from hourly technicians to the plant manager. This is a high volume ISO certified facility and the role will utilize manufacturing problem solving methods such as DMAIC, 8D, 5 Why and Cause Mapping.
What you will need: Engineering degree (any flavor), NO EXCEPTIONS. Current experience in quality engineering role in a high volume manufacturing facility. Hands-on experience in basic quality tools such as 8D, DMAIC, root cause analysis such as 5 Why. Proficient in ISO 9001:2008 requirements and implementation. Green belt level of statistical knowledge OR at least training on advanced SPC, DOE, other statistical tools.
