Asheville, North Carolina – Movement Search and Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with an industry leading packaging client that has been in business for over 100 years. Due to their growth, they have a newly opened position for Pulp Area Manager.
What you will do: The Pulp Area Manaer leads the pulp operations to produce the highest quality products in a safe, environmentally committed, cost efficient manner, while also leading the department organizational business development and enhancing the overall performance of the department and the mill. The post not only manages cost of manufacturing by improving equipment reliability through resource group commitment, structuring capital spending to manage preservation and return projects but also overtime costs, developing committed supply partners and cost structures, and improving the process in the mill for optimum performance. The Pulp Area Manager’s responsibilities also include managing the operational efforts of the production groups to support the department and mill operational goals to provide quality products with minimum variability in specifications and supply, knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of product, and budgeting for a key area of the Mill.
What you will need: Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree with preferred degree areas in Chemical Engineering, Pulp & Paper, or Mechanical Engineering, combined with basic knowledge of SAP, PI, or other business operating systems. Mill, pulp/paper or recovery experience.
