Prototype Engineer – Plastics

Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery  www.movementsearch.com/jobs  is working with a global Tier 1 automotive supplier whose products are in 25% of all vehicles on the road.  Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Protoype Engineer.

What you will do: The Prototype Engineer works with engineering to understand design requirements, orders material and supply’s to support prototype builds, and orders raw material to build prototype parts. The role keeps detailed record of material receipt and keeps parts organized in the warehouse. The role keeps a clean and organized working area, works with project manager and other engineers to establish priorities and tasks to complete project in a timely basis, and support launches at the customer assembly plants.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Knowledge of project scheduling software. Knowledge of plastic prototype processing techniques, welding, forming, trimming, cutting. Knowledge ability to assemble prototype parts. Knowledge and ability to package and label prototype parts to automotive specifications .Ability to travel up to 50%.
