Ann Arbor, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a leading powertrain development company. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Program Manager.
What you will do: The Program Manager manages projects through complete project life cycle, develops project management plans per established project management processes and project management methodologies, and provides monthly status reports to project management organization. The role ensures customer satisfactions and manages scope changes, manages procurements, alternative vendor bids, and proper terms of procurements, and supports proposal team to review RFP (request for proposal) for complex systems and provide parts, labor estimates. The position identifies the risk factors, evaluates vendor and subcontractor bids for price, scope and technical capability, and provides proposal write up for special items so deliverable are properly described in the customer proposals.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Experience with powertrain, preferably electrical power-train. Current experience in a manufacturing engineering role. Experience in a management role. Background in engineering and design of rotating equipment. Preferred experience with dynamometer test equipment. Experience with design and analysis of weldments. Familiar with couplings and their application. Ability to perform analysis to determine torsional frequencies. Experience with AutoCAD and 3D solid modeling programs such as SolidWorks. Knowledge of geometric tolerance. Familiarity with internal combustion testing technology and equipment such as dynamometer, controls and various other test cell equipment is preferred.
