Raleigh, North Carolina – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a national company that provides energy technologies and services to electric utilities as well as large industrial, commercial, institutional and municipal customers. Due to recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Project Manager.
What you will do: The Project Manager is responsible for launching major projects on time per the customer’s project timing, expectations and within the prescribed financial parameters. The role interfaces with all customer personnel, resolving customer issues relating to new and existing programs, and reviews project proposal/plan with product line manager to determine timing, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staff requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project, while also establishing work plan in resource planning tool. The position provides engineering with development assistance for new and existing programs, tracks overall project timing and financials on a weekly basis, provides guidance on validation testing, and verifies that all manufacturing issues are resolved. Additionally, the Project Manager conducts pre-production and critical design reviews, verifies part (component) status readiness and assembly line capacity and readiness, and functions as customer representative, ensuring that customer requirements are addressed (e.g. selection of special characteristics, setting quality objectives and related timing, corrective and preventive actions, product design and development). The position makes site visits to properly manage existing and new projects from cradle to installation.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Advanced power distribution experience. Advanced project management experience. Current Experience with switch gear and generators project/construction management. Experience with controls type equipment. Knowledge of power systems, transmission/ distribution, utility infrastructure, generators, switchgear, transformers, electrical/construction practices, project management practices, and low voltage/medium voltage design.
Note: This position will work out of a home office.
