Project Manager - IT

Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery  www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a leading tier-one supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their recent growth, the company has a newly created position for a Project Manager – IT.

What you will do: The Project Manager – IT is responsible for managing day-to-day project activities to ensure IT programs and projects meet organization goals and requirements. The role works with the business and senior technology leaders to capture and classify work demand and technology initiatives, develops internal procedures and processes for demand management, portfolio management, and project management to support IT project delivery, and creates/implements an information system to support all project management processes. The position develops/implements project status reporting, leverages the project portfolio information to support development of strategy roadmaps and mid-term planning (MTP) activities, and manages the information technology project portfolio to maximize business value. Additionally, the Project Manager measures/tracks project progress for active initiatives, assists in the project prioritization process as part of IT project portfolio management, and advises leaders on potential project changes.

What you will need: B.S. in Computer Science or Engineering. Current experience in supervisory/management experience (matrix preferred) in the automotive industry. Hands-on project management experience (PMP preferred).
