Project Manager

Southfield, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a national manufacturer of industrial machines to highlight candidates to fill their newly created Project Manager role.

What you will do: The Project Manager is responsible for the leadership and successful execution of a project from inception (job launch) to completion (final customer acceptance) within a defined budget and scope. The role leads domestic and international projects through all milestone phases pre-launch through project closure, facilitates relationships between customer and SRC, and determines a project budget after collaboration with Manager of Order Process and Planning, Sales and Engineering. The position collaborates with the Manager of Order Process and Planning as a strategic partner to address any issues that could affect project financials, constructs project timelines, monitors/manages those timelines to achieve all delivery milestones, and directs engineers in the successful delivery of technical projects, while managing several projects simultaneously. Additionally, the Project Manager organizes project meetings, issues minutes, tracks/reports project progress with team members and follows up on action items, while also facilitating the team in reviewing milestones, examining potential operational issues/risks, outlining and proposing solutions and identifying actions.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering or Business. Project management experience in an automotive manufacturing environment. Knowledge of manufacturing type contracts, preferably in the machine tool, automation and/or industrial washer industries. Working knowledge of equipment, process, and commonly used design practices for Balancing Equipment and Automation. Working knowledge of SAP.
