Project Manager

Southfield, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a national IT consulting services company and due to recent growth within their company, they have opened a new position for a Project Manager.

What you will do: The Project Manager develops project plans for eCommerce program and site enhancements, supervises a quality assurance process, including integration and system testing, and coordinates of application tasks within the cross functional IT organization. The role tracks issue logs, risks and project milestones, develops effective relationships with business users, technical staff and executive management, and establishes timely communication meetings and updates to the cross-functional team on eCommerce Technology project. The position manages outsourced services and hosting providers for on-going support, communicates to offshore vendor resources, and supports feasbility studies. Additionally, the Project Manager leads the translation of the business requirements into the systems design.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree. Experience managing technical engineers, architects, and developers. IT eCommerce experience. Work experience with eCommerce B2B platforms (hybris). Experience in internet/portal/intranet search and operating principles of search engine (SEO) strategies. Experience developing functional and technical specifications, test plans and test cases. Experience communicating complex web communication constraints and opportunities to non-technical decision makers. Experience with vendor sourcing, communication, negotiation, contracting, pricing and ensuring quality and pricing meets expectations. Agile project management experience. Proven experience developing budgets for staff and projected work, monitoring and adjusting as needed to meet unexpected demand, and understanding the importance of assessing the near-term and long-term consequences of budget decisions.
