Novi, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a construction company to highlight qualified candidates for their Project Engineer – Estimating position.
What you will do: The Project Engineer – Estimating is responsible for establishing scopes of work, schedules, and budgets for new projects from inception thru the development of detailed plans and specifications. The role participates in the sales process by preparing information (schedules, budgets, scopes of work), prepares preliminary costing information, and stays current with top industry software and technology packages. The position participates in pre-construction meetings and contributes to project strategy and planning, forecasts the scope, cost and duration of future projects from preliminary and/or conceptual drawings, and maintains estimating databases and templates (estimating templates, scope of work templates, etc). Additionally, the Project Engineer – Estimating reviews municipal requirements and determines the impact these requirements will have on a projects schedule and budget, collaborates with engineers, architects, owners and coworkers to discuss projects, identify issues and propose solutions, and maintains/manages a subcontractor database system.
What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in a Construction or Engineering. Current experience in project engineering within construction. Strong estimating background. Design-build experience.
