Project Engineer - Suspension

Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs    is working with a leading tier one automotive supplier.  Due to their growth, they have a newly opened position for a Project Engineer. 

What you will do: The Project Engineer is responsible for new automotive programs specific to the commercial vehicle industry; programs range from enhancements of existing products to completely new foundation brake systems. The role develops new products, calculations, administering FEA, writing product specifications, performing brake dynamometer testing, and analyzing performance characteristics and interfaces directly with customers, suppliers, test labs, production manufacturing facilities, and several internal engineering groups and business units. The position performs engineering analysis necessary for the production design, application and testing of components and systems, including the use of CAE tools such as Pro/Engineer and Pro/Mechanica.

What you will need: BSME. Experience with commercial vehicle products and systems design experience with structural components (forgings, castings, weldments). Pro-E or other 3D modeling experience. Familiarity with GD&T and tolerance stack up analysis a plus. Experience with gearboxes, trailer products, or suspensions.
