Project Engineer – P.E.

Charlotte, North Carolina – Movement Search & Delivery     www.movementsearch.com    is working with a growing manufacturing company located south of Charlotte. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Project Manager.

What you will do: The Project Manager has partial responsibility for project budget and quality including engineering and project deliverables, preparing approval packages, communicating with customers and approving engineering firms to obtain approvals and proper installation sign off. The role prepares, publishes, distributes and maintains a project schedule with milestones, creates and maintains project records, and arrchives proper files for retention. The position schedules and directs with project teams, develops and monitors the project design schedule to meet the client time objectives, and proactively contacts suppliers, clients, and agencies as pertinent. Additionally, the Project Manager coordinates vendor information to assist in system design and travels to plant sites required for training and installation.

What you will need: Bachelor’s in Engineering. Licensed Professional Engineer, NCEES record preferred; PMP a plus. Mid-range combined project engineering and engineering experience. Experience with Project Management software. Background in the design of mechanical equipment with high attention to detail. Experience with the design of rotating equipment including shafts, gearboxes, and bearings. Experience in conveyor-type equipment. Experienced in performing machine design calculations and structural analysis. Experience with FEA and/or fluid flow calculations (CFD  a plus). Knowledge of fabrication processes such as bending, punching, welding. Experience with material handling systems (conveyors and bulk storage) a plus. Experience with electrical power, instrumentation and controls a plus.
