Des Plaines, Illinois – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a growing, multi-billion dollar manufacturing client with headquarters in Atlanta. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Project Engineer.
What you will do: The Project Engineer develops electro-mechanical systems to meet the requirements of pre-defined product specifications, generates physical design specifications, and collaborates with engineering and various other teams to implement into production. The role works with others to develop optical designs, is responsible for assigned development work, which includes problem resolution and design of new models and mechanisms, and works from research samples and verbal or written instructions concerning desired results under general direction. The position creates layouts, 3D models and assemblies, and complete scomponent drawings using 3D CAD software, develops new product specifications that comply with industry standards and project requirements, and initiates, creates, and completes functional mechanical assemblies to meet project objectives. Additionally, the Project Engineer develops performance specifications and coordinate with marketing for publication.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. 3D Mechanical design software knowledge (Pro-E Creo a plus). 2D design software knowledge (Auto Cad a plus). Regulatory agency standard knowledge. Experience as a mechanical design engineer in the Lighting Industry. Experience with lighting and the manufacture of sheet metal, injection molded, and die cast components. Proficient in 3D CAD software, ProE/ CREO.
