Project Engineer

Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery  www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working a leading automotive tier-one supplier and due to their recent growth, they are looking for a Project Engineer.

What you will do: The Project Engineer is responsible for leading the design, engineering and validation of lighting and electronics programs. The role ensures engineering change documents are created, maintained and communicated with appropriate departments to process changes effectively throughout the organization, ensures mock-up parts and prototypes are created based upon design specifications, and supports program management, attending meetings with information relevant to assigned projects. The position leads the development of testing plans and follow-up test set-ups, ensures confirmation of results and provide countermeasure plans for test anomalies, and leads the creation of engineering and design standards. Additionally, the Project Engineer provides ideas and support all cost reduction activities, provides engineering support and documentation to the sales team on new business development activities, and supports/tracks monthly metric activities.

What you will need: Bachelor’s in Engineering. Prior experience in automotive or manufacturing setting. Experience in the design and engineering of automotive lighting and electronics systems. Experience in leading engineering activities through successful attainment of budget and timeline requirements. Experience creating presentations and technical documents.
