Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search and Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a world leading automotive interior manufacturer. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Program Manager.
What you will do: Program Manager is responsible for new launches, as well as existing programs. The position manages product development timing from design concept through product life, builds relationships within the Tier-One and OEM community, and reviews internal costing worksheets to determine cost points for cutting material, allowing for margin improvement opportunities. The role facilitates implementation of cost/continuous improvement projects while managing customer expectations, receives customer drawing data and processes internal costing worksheets to determine cost variance of proposed data from current, and creates program timing charts to present customer expectations for executive management review and to initiate APQP activities. Additionally, the Program Manager fields customer complaints, dissolving those issues, receives prices and manages timing on all non-production orders to include pre-production orders, and supports business manager with strategy plan for OEM (3-5 year outlook).
What you will need: Bachelor’s degree. Experience with Ford. Mid-range automotive experience. Thorough understanding of process engineering. Proficiency reviewing bill of materials and tracking part number change levels. Current experience in a program management role in a Tier-One facility.
