Program Manager - Tier One

Farmington Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com   is working with an automotive  OEM. Due to recent growth within the company, they have recently opened a position for a Program Manager.

What you will do: The Program Manager manages/updates costs and pricing for all products, assists in leading cost reduction activities at plant locations and status reports to upper management, and manages engineering changes including cost collection and quotations from plant locations. The role manages kickoff and consolidating plant responses of the annual purchasing policy activities, interfacing with the customers, and manages modification costs and pricing for our heavy truck manufacturing. Additionally, the Program Manager builds strong relationships with the plants to facilitate coordination of activities and understands detailed issues, analyzing and determining actions required. Defining a clear scope for the project and ensure that the required team members are in place while developing quote packages and specifications with plants to ensure quoting and analysis are fair between suppliers and cover the entire scope of the project. This role will develop and track budgets for each project, detailed project schedule and and work with th legal department to put contracts into place with suppliers and contractors

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree. Current experience in a program management role.  Previous experience in all or some of the following areas: stamping, welding, forging, casting, coating, assembly, machining.  The ability to travel 75% domestically to manufacturing facilities.
