Syracuse, New York – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a leading manufacturer of capital equipment for both industrial and consumer use. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a new position for a Controls Technologies Program Manager.
What you will do: The Controls Technologies Program Manager leads multiple programs, managing a matrixed cross functional engineering, marketing, and operations team, ensures that new technologies are transferred across business units and inserted into the next generation of products, and develops/maintains detailed program plans addressing technical requirements, global resource availability/allocation & drive for industry leading product development cycle times. The role controls/monitors program execution via earned value management schedule tracking and reporting, works with engineering, product management, supply chain, and operations to develop market leading cost effective and reliable products. The position also manages the development of the program’s overall budget and expenditure, while also working with product development and presenting program updates and state-gate reviews.
What you will need: Bachelor of Science Engineering with advanced experience in engineering. Experience in program management or engineering project leadership of configurable products from the conceptual stage through to production for a global market. Understanding of Earned Value Management. Experience with product development and a stage-gate processes. Experience with, or a strong understanding of quality control processes, tools, and methodology. Familiarity with reliability prediction tools and methods. ACE Practitioner or six sigma black belt a plus. Knowledge of systems engineering, software & controls architecture; building automation; control systems or large scale enterprise software systems preferred.
