Pulaski, Tennessee – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a tier-one supplier to the automotive industry. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Program Manager for automotive plastic tooling.
What you will do: The Program Manager is responsible for managing multiple projects, achieving overall project timing, meeting customer demands, and financial targets. This role directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of tooling project within area of assigned responsibility. Interfaces with the customer to coordinate all aspects of project such as technical studies, mold design, quotations for any scope change, preparation of specifications and technical plans, project timing and mold tryout. Reviews mold design and Mold Flow studies for compliance with engineering principles. Company standards, and customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Directs integration of technical activities and products. Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications, and drawing releases. Prepares Change Orders, Request for Shipment, Request for Tryout and Mold Performance evaluation.Supports Customer Meetings by providing technical competency in mold and part design. Manage and communicate timing of programs. Conduct tooling reviews to assure standards and best practices are being employed.
What you will need: Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering or related sciences is preferred but not required, equivalent years of experience and demonstrated expertise will be considered. Current experience with automotive plastic tooling in a program management capacity. Experience with APQP processes.
