Novi, Michigan – Movement Search and Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with an international supplier to the automotive industry. Our client is a major Tier One for German automotive. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Program Manager.
What you will do: The Program Manager’s primary function is to manage the EBIT (earnings before interest and taxes) for the customer business unit, while also providing input to customer strategy and rough planning. The role accepts/rejects a program/program portfolio at program kickoff based on goals, is responsible for customer strategy development, and directs program management methodology in direct report groups. The position facilitates the continuation of program management and enterprise implementation, monitors management methodology, and manages grow customer relations, quote activities, and the EBIT/deviations from target.
What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Current experience in program management. Advanced experience working for a manufacturing supplier with a combination of purchasing, engineering, finance and/or manufacturing preferably in an automotive setting. Knowledge of continuous improvement of products for manufacturability. Knowledge of engineering fundaments, mechanical systems, automotive systems, and exhaust systems.
