Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a leader in manufacturing equipment assemblies for the automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Program Launch Manager.
What you will do: The Program Launch Manager is responsible for problem solving support (i.e. quality spills andequipment breakdowns), supplier support (quality, problem solving), and engineering change system support. The role supports plant safety, is responsible for ergonomic equipment design, development and implementation, and for facilities, tool and equipment maintenance. The position is responsible for assembly tool and equipment design, development and implementation, material handling equipment design, development and implementation and process documentation and best practice for work-cell, assembly station, plant layout (layout guidelines, office layout, etc.), while also negotiating tooling, equipment and service contracts (Vendor selection, standardize on fastening systems, controls, service agreements, material handling equipment).
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Mid-range experience in automotive manufacturing. Current experience in plant engineering management. Prior experience as a shift manager or team leader in an operations role is a plus. Experience launching programs.
