Program Engineer - Friction

Rome, Georgia – Movement Search and Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a manufacturing company with a global footprint. Due to their recent growth, they have recently opened a position for a Program Engineer.

What you will do: The Program Engineer is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising the activities related to procurement, and installation and start-up of new equipment for the manufacture of friction blocks used for heavy duty truck brake application, while also responsible for the development, debugging and implementation of new processes. Additionally, the role specifies, procures, sets up and troubleshoots new equipment, while promoting/introducing process improvements through analysis, data collection and specific test. The position develops not only new processes, but also works instructions for the production flow of new products. Further responsibilities include layout of new work spaces which align with lean manufacturing principles, optimization of raw materials in the processes while seeking to reduce cost, and the promotion of improvements and elimination of waste in the product, fabrication process and administrative controls.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Current experience in manufacturing of friction products.. Lean manufacturing and six sigma problem solving experience preferred.
