Production Supervisor

Raleigh, North Carolina – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs    is working with an industry leading manufacturing client that has been in business for over 100 years. Due to their growth, they have a newly opened position for a Production Supervisor, west of Parma.

What you will do: The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising the hourly production employees on shift in order to meet the safety, environmental, production, quality, and cost goals of the department, as well as to meet customer delivery dates. The role organizes, manages, and directs the activities of employees assigned on shift, provides employee coaching and development, resolves employee issues through timely and effective problem resolution, and ensures hourly employees have proper training and tools to meet department goals. The position meets production goals, checks work areas for safety hazards, conducts weekly safety meetings with department employees, communicates the status of orders, schedules departmental clean-ups, and communicates with Quality Assurance Manager concerning all issues affecting quality (side seams, skiving issues, mixed loads, etc.). Additionally, the Production Supervisor leads quality improvement activities within their respective organizations.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree. Current experience in production supervision. Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of product. Knowledge of business and management principles. Knowledge of food safety requirements. Ability to work 2nd shift.
