Athens, Georgia – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with an industry leading manufacturing client that has been in business for over 100 years. Due to their growth, they have a newly opened position for a Production Supervisor.
What you will do: The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the department productivity, quality, safety, training and coordinating with internal customers for maintaining efficient work flows through the plant. The role keeps inventory at appropriate levels and orders supplies for the sealing department, while also making sure production schedules are followed and maintained as well as possible. The position ensures that customer quality requirements are met, takes proper action with crews and suppliers to maintain the best quality possible, and separates non-conforming product and follow up with the Q.C. Department. Additionally, the Production Supervisor conducts toolbox meetings on safety and quality issues on a weekly basis, ensures that employees are maintaining housekeeping at levels required by FDA, SQF, etc. standards, and keeps check on pressroom supplies and materials and maintaining minimum levels.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience in manufacturing management. Experience in flexographic or process printing preferred.
