Production Supervisor

Newnan, Georgia – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs  is working with a privately held multinational company in the automotive space. Due to recent growth, they have a newly created position for a Production Supervisor, just east of Newnan.

What you will do: The Production Supervisor complies with all ISO/TS 16949 & ISO-14001 procedures and work instructions, ensures all products meet defined quality specifications, and achieves daily production attainment by assigning team members, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, resolving problems, and reporting results of processing flow on shift summary reports. The role ensures team members are properly trained and that all initial and ongoing training objectives are met for assigned team members, while also developing, implementing and maintaining 360-degree communication and feedback. The position prioritizes/coordinates daily activities for indirect labor staff, including team leaders, mold technicians, material handlers, and maintenance personnel, ensures lean principles are followed, and develops competencies with their team, particularly Team Leaders, focusing on skill development and continuous manufacturing process improvements. Additionally, the Production Supervisor assists in implementing employee involvement suggestions and encourages a self-directed workforce, while also planning/completing simultaneous projects.

What you need: HS Diploma. Six Sigma certification preferred. Current experience in production supervision. Injection molding/assembly experience. Ability to work 2nd shift. Experience in Production Control, Quality, Manufacturing and/or Tool Engineering. Knowledge of injection molding, assembly, tooling processes and equipment. Knowledge of product, raw material and resins. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Concepts and Principles – Toyota Production System along with 5S, Kanban Systems, Kaizen Improvement Process, waste identification and reduction, standardized work process and good ergonomic practices.
