Orlando, Florida – Movement Search and Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a 100 year old power generation company. Our client is stable, growing and R&D focused. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Production Supervisor.
What you will do: The Production Supervisor supervises/coordinates activities of workers engaged in setting up and operating a variety of machines to repair and manufacture parts. The role implements/develops training and productivity improvements through Lean Manufacturing techniques, computes amounts of stock and supplies required for operations, interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties. The position plans flow of materials through department, develops physical layout of machines according to work orders, measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications, and suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew. Additionally, the Production Supervisor maintains time and production records, develops capital equipment justifications for machine tools and process technology to improve quality, cost, and cycle times, and inspects materials.
What you will need: Associate’s degree. Current experience in production supervision. Current experience in manufacturing or engineering. Experience with lean manufacturing. Turbine/generator experience is a plus.
