Birmingham, Alabama  – Movement Search and Delivery    www.movementsearch.com    is working with a multinational supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Production Supervisor in eastern Birmingham.

What you will do: The Production Supervisor supervises staff, organizes work flow, and is responsible for initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. The role maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process, setting processing variables, and initiates/fosters a spirit of cooperation within and between departments. The position completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards, and ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs, evaluating new equipment and techniques. Additionally, the Production Supervisor provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data, creates systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements, implementing change, and maintains a working relationship with the union by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree. Mid-range experience in automotive manufacturing management. Experience in production manufacturing. Experience in a union environment. Knowledge of controls and instrumentation.
