Production Superintendent

Lansing, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a national, tier-one supplier to the automotive industry and due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Production Superintendent, south of Lansing.

What you will do: The Production Superintendent manages the resources of the company including manpower, machines, and materials, acts as a coach for function leaders and associates, and meets customer demands through service, quality and delivery. The role maintains a clean and safe work environment by maintaining daily housekeeping audits, monitoring standards for housekeeping and safety, reviewing accidents and implementing corrective actions, while also monitoring rejected checks and taking appropriate action to correct and contain defects from getting to the Customer. The position leads the resolution of customer related issues, maintains proper inventory levels to ensure meeting customer schedules, establishing triggers to prevent over build or under build, and monitors/manages the workforce to the workforce plan, conducting audits at regular intervals to reduce non-standard operations and wasted labor. Additionally, the Production Superintendent performs routine evaluation of each cell on scheduled intervals, understands and administers company policies and procedures fairly and consistently, and assigns labor, supplies and components to meet the budget.

What you will need: Manufacturing experience including die cast or secondary/machining and assembly experience. CNC programming experience. Supervisory experience in manufacturing environment. Lean manufacturing experience.
