Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a national supplier of manufactured goods to highlight the best candidate for a Production Planner role.
What you will do: The Production Planner is responsible for the planning and scheduling of production as well as obtaining needed materials from vendors. The role plans/prepares production schedules, draws up schedules to establish sequence, analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data, and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements. The position confers with production supervision to determine status of production orders, prepares purchase orders and scheduling agreements to obtain materials and components from vendors, and creates/maintains bill of materials, routings, work centers and costing data as needed. Additionally, the Production Planner maintains inventory levels according to procedures and participates in inventory control and adjustments, while also maintaining the production board spreadsheet with customer’s orders and forecasts.
What you will need: Current experience in production planning with hands on knowledge of SAP. Experience working in a manufacturing/automotive environment. Experience in a high volume environment.
