Production Manager

Kalamazoo, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs    is working with an industry leading manufacturing client that has been in business for over 100 years. Due to their growth, they have a newly opened position for a Production Manager.

What you will do: The Production Manager reviews/approves all purchases for the facility, leads/supports the Production Supervisors in hiring, training, and developing the converting employees, and directly leads technicians. The position is responsible for scheduling equipment to meet customer orders, preventative maintenance, equipment rebuilds, and process improvements, checks the suitability of materials and accuracy of all print operations, and makes quality system recommendations. The role provides products and services that consistently meet the mutually agreed upon specifications of both our internal and external customers, participates in the yearly HAACP review, and participates in monthly food safety internal audits. Additionally, the Production Manager is responsible for assuring that the products produced within the manufacturing facility are safe and comply with all applicable federal, state, and international laws, regulations, and guidelines.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (mandatory). Current experience in production management. Current experience in a high volume manufacturing environment. Ability to interpret and administer SQF Code 2000.
