Plymouth, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a national supplier to the automotive manufacturing industry and due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Production Manager.
What you will do: The Production Manager is responsible for direction of all manufacturing and related functions to achieve efficient and timely assembly of products and to maintain the highest standards of quality. The role determines/establishes long range and short term manufacturing objectives with existing sales, projected forecasts and other factors, implements, coordinates and expedites manufacturing operation schedules, and delegates/oversees development of manpower requirements schedules. The position reviews manufacturing performance and results and initiates action to correct schedule deviations, excessive costs, material shortages or other deterrent factors, while also acting as an advisor to the Executive Vice President of Manufacturing on the plant expansion, capital equipment investments and /or other areas where manufacturing is involved or concerned. Additionally, the Production Manager reviews plans and procedures related to sub-contracting, changes in manufacturing methods and procedures etc., administers staff appraisal program, and serves as a member of the management review team.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience in production management within the automotive industry. Experience managing production supervisors.
