Jackson, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a 20 year old automotive supplier that is rapidly expanding. Our client is a tier one supplier to the automotive industry and employs close to 1,000 people.
What you will do: Due to their growth, they have a recently opened position for Production Engineer. This role will touch on all aspects of production engineering in an automotive OEM environment. This role will focus on process improvement and die trouble shooting, root cause analysis; short period stops, downtime, defect/cost reduction; PLC & CNC programming/ troubleshooting; feasibility and time studies; schedule, budget and project management; production control charts PFMEA document maintenance. Tool testing and improvement; machine design improvement. Die Cast, Stamping or Machining experience a plus.
What you will need: A Bachelor of Science in manufacturing engineering or engineering. Current experience in a high volume advanced manufacturing environment. 2-5 years experience, not much more as the salary will not support many more years of experience.
