Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a world leader in the automotive industry. Our 100-year-old publicly traded client has engaged our services to help identify a Product Manager for their growing business.
What you will do: The Product Manager is responsible for the strategy, leadership, financial (P&L) performance, marketing direction and management of a product group/segment for the Automotive Division in support of divisional goals. The role leads the proposal development, leads multi-functional team and initiates the project plan development in conjunction with the Project Manger to bring a new product to market, while also managing early product life cycle. The role establishes objectives for the assigned product groups in line with Division and corporate goals, implements product strategies including Product Road Map and a strong new product development pipeline, and determines what new products will be developed, recommend where they will be designed and manufactured and when. Additionally, the Product Manager tracks progress to plan for revenue and profit, develops/executes product promotional plans, and provides communication with sales, marketing, and engineering.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Mid-range experience in a manufacturing environment. Current experience in a product management role. Experience within the global automotive supplier industry. Knowledge of engineering quality and sales/marketing.
